I am honoured to offer therapeutic bodywork sessions from my home studio on Cortes Island, BC. Circled by ancient cedar trees, I begin each session with gratitude to the land.

biodynamic craniosacral therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a light-touch, non-manipulative, osteopathic modality that aligns with your systems inherent treatment plan. The body responds on a very deep level when it is held by skilled hands in a health-oriented, non-directive, and non-judgemental way.

I integrate psychotherapeutic techniques, such as hakomi therapy and focusing, to help you connect deeper with the sensations, emotions and stories of the body. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is supportive for physical and chronic pain conditions, nervous system regulation, sleep disturbances, migraines and headaches, TMJ issues, head injuries and concussions, depression and anxiety, emotional stress and emotional processing, and developmental re-patterning.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is covered under Counselling (RCC) extended health benefits.

ayurvedic bodywork
Deep gratitude to my Ayurvedic mentor and teacher, Sharada Jagannath, who passed down these teachings and techniques to me from her lineage.

I begin this 2 hour treatment with a 75 min full body Ayurvedic massage. Traditionally called Shila Abhyanga, this hot stone massage works with earth energy through the placement of heated stones on the body. The penetrating warmth of the stones helps to ground and balance the vata element and the overactive mind, inducing a tranquil and quiet state on the nervous system. Warm oil is poured over the entire body including the stomach and sternum. I use long stroke Ayurvedic techniques specifically designed to move and clear stagnant energy. Hot Stones penetrate deep heat into the muscle belly, soothing soar and tired muscles. Energetic points on the body called marma points are stimulated to restore life back to your system.

Next, warm oil is poured over the Ajna chakra (or third eye) in a continuous steam for 20 - 30 minutes. This traditional Ayurvedic treatment is called Shirodhara and it aids in calming the mind, clearing stagnant thought patterns and bringing new life into your system. Other benefits include clearing and cleansing through physical and energetic release, and increased vitality and feelings of health and wellbeing for the body, mind and spirit.
